Our Lady of Perpetual Help Educational Assistance Fund is an initiative by the Parish, St. Dominic’s Cathedral Kanjirappally. The sire of this endeavor is the great visionary Fr.George Alumkal, former Vicar. It’s a body registered on 2016. This is solely an aid to the indigents who wish to reach out to their dreams and purely a non-profit making initiative. Education is the basic right which should be enjoyed equally by all. Financial status should not crush the dreams of those who aim high. This initiative can make the poor aim high, irrespective of their financial situations and help them in their desire to be what they dream of. It extends beneficial services to the poor who find their educational needs a distant dream. The trust provided financial aid to around twenty five needed ones from its inception. It aims at providing aid as Education loan without interest and refundable when the benefits are capable of and thus this works on ‘Share and Care’ basis. Opportunities must be equally accessible to all in this competitive world and we should not create have and have-nots out of any situations. The trust’s primal focus is on breaking this barrier especially in academic realm.
